The West Pasco Quilters' Guild 2012 Charity Quilt

"Golden Kaleidoscope"

Each year, the members of the WPQG produce a bed sized quilt and sell opportunity tickets to the public, to raise money for a local Charity.  There are many opportunities to view the quilt and purchase tickets, when the quilt is displayed around the community at different events. One or two members are chosen yearly to coordinate this project and they enlist the help of  many of our Guild members.  This is a two year commitment, as it takes one year to complete the quilt and another year to sell the 5,000 (plus) chances.
This beautiful quilt, Golden Kaleidoscope, was coordinated by Bethany Prokopvich and Dorothy Price and was  created by many hands of the WPQG membership.

The Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program is the charity that will benefit from 100% of the donations made on this quilt.

For more information on the purchasing chances on this quilt, please contact us at postmaster@westpascoquilters.org.  Thank you.

SALVATION ARMY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT?

The mission of this agency is to provide cost free, comprehensive services to victims of abuse and domestic violence and to educate others about domestic violence in order to promote prevention.  This includes a safe residential facility and crisis hotline, available at all times, to all people.

Imagine that you have to evacuate your home.  You have minutes to decide what to take with you.  What would you take?  What would you leave behind?  This is the dilemma that victims of domestic violence face daily.  They come with little but the clothes on their backs.  Domestic Violence is the only crime where the victim gives up everything----Just to be SAFE.  Without the support of the community, victims of Domestic Violence and their children would have no safe place to go.
